Slow Cooker Nacho Bar

A slow cooker nacho bar that everyone will love, great for football or Super Bowl parties. The slow cooker keeps the beef and bean mixture warm and cheesy while guests add their favorite toppings to the nachos.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, sliced olives, sour cream, guacamole, chopped cilantro

Instructions:

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned

Drain excess fat

Transfer the cooked ground beef to the slow cooker

Add taco seasoning, black beans, and salsa to the slow cooker

Stir to combine

Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until heated through

Once heated through, stir in shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese until melted and combined

Keep the slow cooker on warm setting to keep the nacho cheese mixture warm

Set up a nacho bar with tortilla chips and optional toppings

Let guests assemble their own nachos by topping chips with the cheese mixture and desired toppings
