Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans optional
  • Cream cheese frosting for topping

Instructions:

Warm up your oven to 350F 175C and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners that have a Thanksgiving theme

Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl using a whisk

When the butter is soft, add the eggs and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients

Mix everything together well

It will be smooth and creamy after you add the milk and sour cream

Put the ground cinnamon and brown sugar in a different small bowl

Mix them together to make the cinnamon swirl filling

Just enough batter to cover the bottom of each cupcake wrapper should be used

Put a lot of the cinnamon swirl mixture on top of the batter in each cupcake liner

You can add chopped pecans on top of the cinnamon swirl mixture if you want to

Add more batter to the top of each cupcake until they are about two thirds full

For a marbled look, use a toothpick or skewer to slowly swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter

After the oven is hot, bake the cupcakes for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean

The cupcakes should cool in the pan for a few minutes before being moved to a wire rack to cool all the way down

Once the cupcakes are completely cool, you can frost them with cream cheese frosting and, if you want, add more cinnamon on top

Enjoy your Cinnamon Roll Cupcakes after youre done making them
