Slow Cooker Lasagna

With a slow cooker, this hearty and tasty lasagna is cooked just right, making it easy to make and enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 24 oz jar marinara sauce
  • 1 14
  • 5 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 uncooked lasagna noodles
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions:

In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until beef is browned; drain

Stir in marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper

In a bowl, mix together ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, and parsley

Spread 1/4 of the meat sauce in the bottom of a slow cooker

Arrange 4 noodles over sauce, breaking noodles as necessary to fit

Spread with 1/3 of the cheese mixture

Repeat layers twice

Top with remaining meat sauce

Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours

Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese, cover, and let stand for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted
