A delicious and simple side dish for the slow cooker, made with tender green beans infused with the smokey flavor of barbecue sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions:

Combine barbecue sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, olive oil, smoked paprika, minced garlic, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a bowl

After trimming the green beans, put them in the slow cooker and top with the diced onions

Evenly coat the green beans and onions with the barbecue sauce mixture as you pour it over them

Fill the slow cooker with water

When the green beans are tender, cook them covered over low heat for four to six hours, stirring now and then

Serve the Slow Cooker BBQ Green Beans hot after theyve finished cooking for a tasty side dish
